报告题目：Modelling Wolbachia infection dynamics in mosquitopopulations via discrete dynamical equations

报告摘要：In this paper, ourpurpose is to formulate models to study the Wolbachia infection dynamics basedon a discrete dynamical equation. Our analysis shows that there is a maximalmaternal leakage rate threshold, denoted by µ ∗ , such that infected mosquitoes canpersist provided the maternal leakage rate µ does not go up to µ ∗ . For the situationwhen µ ≤ µ ∗ , wefind the minimal Wolbachia infection frequency threshold, denoted by f ∗ , such that theinfected mosquitoes can persist provided the initial infrequency x 0 is notless than f ∗ . Forthe case when x 0 < f ∗ , we find the release rate threshold, denoted by α ∗ , such thatWolbachia infection can also persist provided the release rate α is not lessthan α ∗ . Whenthe first release is not successful, that is, the next generation infectionfrequency still fails to reach f ∗, we find the least release times, denoted by n ∗, such that theinfection frequency can achieve f ∗ after n ∗consecutive releases with a fixed release rate.

报告人简介：庾建设，广州大学教授、博士生导师，国家杰出青年基金获得者。曾获省部级科技进步一、二、三等奖各两项。1996年入选国家“百千万人才工程”第一、二层次人选，1998年被评为国家有突出贡献的中青年专家，2000年获得教育部“跨世纪优秀人才培养计划”基金资助，2002年获教育部“高校青年教师奖”，曾任广州大学校长、党委书记，多次担任国际国内学术会议的学术委员会主席，任第四届“中国学位与研究生教育学会”副会长。主要从事常微分方程，泛函微分方程、离散系统的理论与应用、生物数学研究，获得了一系列重要的研究成果，先后解决了国际著名数学家所提出的多个公开问题与猜想，主持多项国家自然科学基金重点项目与面上项目及科技部重大基础研究前期研究专项，担任“Communications on Pure and Applied Analysis” 、 “Journal of Difference Equations and Applications” 等重要国际知名数学杂志的编委。
