报告摘要：This talk isabout the rings whose elements are sums ofanidempotent and a nilpotent (that commute) and the rings whoseelements aresums of two (commuting) idempotents. We review variousresults onthese topics. New progress and further development will beaddressed.  

报告人简介：周毅强，加拿大纽芬兰纪念大学教授。湖南师范大学数学系首届研究生，加拿大哥伦比亚大学博士。主要从事环、模与线性代数研究。
