教学育人:

课程讲授(本科生、研究生):概率论与数理统计、离散数学、组合数学、运筹学、图论、组合最优化理论、拓扑图论、基础拓扑学、图的曲面嵌入理论、图的交叉数理论。

研究生培养:已指导培养硕士毕业生40人,博士毕业生14人,指导研究生获湖南省优秀博士学位论文及湖南省优秀硕士学位论文。

科学研究:

主要从事图论中的相关问题研究研究,涉及到图的最大亏格及亏格、图嵌入分布、曲面嵌入图的组合结构、图的交叉数、图的k-平面性、结构图论等。在国际专业杂志J. of Combinatorial Theory Ser. BJ. of Graph TheorySIAM J. Discrete MathematicsEuropean J. of CombinatoricsDiscrete MathematicsDiscrete Applied MathematicsGraphs and Combinatorics及国内《中国科学》(数学)等刊物上发表论文100余篇。
